Fundamental Workouts for Youth Athletes.

Small group workouts designed to help young athletes develop the basic movement patterns needed for their sports while introducing beginner concepts of the weight room. 

A strong emphasis will be placed on:

  • Functional Movement Patterns
  • Weight Lifting Technique
  • Mobility & Flexibility
  • Core Strength
  • Footwork and Explosiveness

Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through March at Elevate Fitness in Middletown, RI. The classes will start right at 3:15 pm and will last an hour.

Anthony Tingley graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship with the intention of starting his sports training company. For the past two years, Anthony has worked in the clubhouse for the New York Yankees during spring training in Tampa. During this time he helped with on-field drills and working closely with the players. Since moving back to Rhode Island, he has assisted in the weight room at Salve Regina, while beginning his company Island Athletics. Over the past 6 months, he and his staff have worked with over 200 youth athletes, helping them prepare for their upcoming seasons.

Anthony is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer.
