I fell in love with exercise and when I say fell… I mean hard. Throughout my life I have always been active. But once I discovered group exercise I was hooked. As a result, I completely changed my career path, became a trainer and now apart of Elevate Fitness. The best bootcamp studio on Aquidneck Island. All this physical activity gave me the Race Bug Bad! If I’m not at Elevate then I am likely at a Race somewhere! Cycle, OCR, Relay, SUP, Let’s GO. The initials aren’t important but what is, is my enthusiasm for fitness and the joy I get from helping others fall in love with fitness too!
As a long-time runner, triathlete, yogi and U.S. Army Green Beret I have always placed a high priority on living a healthy and active lifestyle. The shift from competition in both my personal and professional life that led to numerous injuries and the unnecessary stress of constant competition to a more natural, holistic approach to fitness took years to adopt and has now become a core believe in my personal approach to health and wellbeing. I encourage a balanced approach to wellness by establishing a healthy, realistic, and sustainable path to fitness that will lead you towards attaining your individual goals. My classes are designed to be physically challenging in a playful, stress-free environment while focusing on fundamental alignment and yogic philosophy.
My background in fitness includes triathlon / running coach, personal trainer, spinning and yoga teacher, as well as a U.S. Army master fitness trainer where I trained aspiring Green Berets to prepare for “Special Forces Selection and Assessment”. I was also fortunate to teach “Combat Stretching and Tactical Breathing” (AKA: Yoga) to U.S. and Foreign Special Operations Forces around the world.
Lynda was inspired to have fitness in her life after running her first 5K at the age of 40 and has not stopped since. Fitness is now a way of life, a place to release some stress, connect with friends and stay in shape!

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage boys.

Blake is a fit mom who shares the same passion as her daughter; she loves to move! Her career in fitness began as she wanted to improve herself as a ballet, modern and jazz dancer. She realized how important it is to train all parts of your body at different levels of intensity. Blake lived in NYC and worked at a boutique fitness studio. There, she trained clients on a mega former in lagre fitness method. Being so inspired by the idea of resistance training and finding the burn at a slow and steady pace, Blake decided to bring some of her past training qualities to her own workout. After living in NYC for some time, she is back to her hometown in Portsmouth and ready to share the burn!
